Sammy with Ball by Marina Neira

TGIF.....What a LONNGGG week this has been. I have been running around all over the place doing errands, the dentist, the doctors , and trying to finishing up school shopping. We are getting thing ready for the kids return to school, which is next Tuesday. It has been a REALLY good summer and I am sad to see it end, but I guess all good things must come to an end!

So, HOW CUTE IS THIS IMAGE???? Marina Neira is a amazing artist and has created images for both the Greeting Farm and Motivet, but she now has decided to open her own company: The Stamping Bazaar.

With all new adorable images for us to color and play with. I am extremely honored to be a part of her design team, and I look forward to creating with more of her images! Sammy is currently available for purchase in either rubber or digi, and he can be found here!

I did have to share this second card that m daughter Abbey made with Sammy with the ball. She colored it all on her own, and I even let her use my COPICS! you, know what though, she thought that she was a "real" artist because she got to play with the copics, and to me she is, not because of the copics, but because she is a amazingly creative child!

Well, that is about all for me today. I hope you have a fabulous day, and thank you for taking the time to stop by and visit. It means the world to me. Happy Creating!!!!!

Critter Sketch Challenge #27:Red and stripes

Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I had a great weekend. On Saturday, I spent the day stamping with my friends. It is always a GOOOOD time....not only did I have a good time, but I was very productive as well. I have ALL my cards for this week done and ready to be posted . That doesn't happen so much :) Today, we did some school shopping....So, I have to say...it was a good weekend!
Today's card is done for todays Critter sketch challenge. This weeks challenge is Stripes & Red! I worked that out by using Cosmo Cricut paper, which had stripes, and the red is on my image and on my DP! The paper can be purchased at Limelight Paper crafts, which just happens to be our sponsor this month!
For my Card today, I used the following materials:
Image: Lilli of the Valley, sentiment by Amuse
Paper:cosmo cricket
Flowers: Prima
Ink: copics & Memento
I also wanted to mention.....Critter sketch is looking to add to their team!
your term would run from October 11-January 31 (2011.) Our postings are on Monday so you must be able to upload your creation to your blog by 8am EST on Mondays. This is a bi-weekly 4 month commitment. We have monthly sponsors lined up through the end of the year, and a few going in to 2011. Each month the sponsor will give our DT a "gift" to help sponsor their company through our DT creations. There are never any vendor restrictions but you are asked to promote the Critter blog and our monthly sponsor as often as you can.
This is a challenge blog so you will be presented with a challenge 2-3 weeks prior to the post date and then be responsible for emailing your creations to me. You can browse through the blog for ideas.
Applications will be accepted through September 15th. Please email me at newbymom@embarqmail.com for an application and complete list of guidelines. The design team will be announced shortly following the cut off date. If I receive a large amount of applications, I will close the DT call early if a qualified team is quickly found.
Good Luck and thank you for checking out the DT info. Please email me with any questions you may have.
Well, that is all I have to say today, but please tr to stop by tomorrow to check out some big news with Going Grey with Scrap-Creations! Thanks for stopping bye!

A Cake of a Different Sorts!

TGIF........I am so happy it's Friday! It has been a really busy week here in the Catalano household. This past Thursday was SCHOOL orientation. Oh boy, it's really coming....I am really starting nursing school! For the last 3 years, I have taken all my prerequisites to get to this point, and you know, you never think it's ever going to happen......but it does.....I will be considered a Full Time Nursing Student in September!!! So,,,,I have a couple more weeks before the madness starts. My kids start school on the 31st, so I need to finish some school shopping, and then we will be ready to hit school running, although one can't wait to go, and the other doesn't want to go back.........

How about my Greeting Farm cupcake goth girl! I will admit that when I started coloring her I was thinking she looked weird, and I wasn't sure I was going to make a card with the image, but all said and done, I think she looks pretty good! I went with some Halloween paper and top the card off with my screw brads :) WHAT DO YOU THINK????

I am REALLY excited about tomorrow, as I am having a stamping day with some friends. We do this every so often, and it is always a blast. I can't wait to get my stamp on. Hopefully my mojo shows up. Well, I better get packing for the day. Thanks you SO MUCH for taking the time to stop by. Have a great weekend, and happy creating!!!

Psss....I have some thing to tell you....something really BIG !!!

WOW.....I think I have vacationed myself out! In the past 3 weeks my family and I have been home a total of 4 days I believe. First Washington DC, then Ocean City Maryland, and the Lake Winnipesaukee NH. We had a FABULOUS vacation, but I am completely exhausted. It is now time to settle in back home and get back to the routine of things, but first, I have to catch up on my LAUNDRY!!! Ahhhh....the house is a mess and the laundry is piling up....You know how that is when you get back from vacation, everything is a mess, and the laundry is piled high!

I have had this image from the Greeting Farm colored forever and just got around to making it into a card, and I figured today was the perfect time to post it, seeing this is exactly how I feel today LOL!

Oh, did I mention that I had something I wanted to share with you....Something big I recall....well, big for me ....REALLY BIG for me.....I am THRILLED, ecstatic, jumping with joy to tell you that I have made the first ever design team for THE STAMPING BAZAAR, owned and runned by Marina Neira! I couldn't believe it when I got the e-mail saying I was chosen on the team....Seriously....I was freaking out. I am a HUGE fan of her work, and I can't wait to get started.....WAHOOOOO......seriously, I am so happy :)

So, now that i have had a chance to share my big news, I better get back to my laundry, so I can spend tomorrow STAMPING!!! I can't wait to get INKY! I hope you are having a fabulous weekend, and thank you so much for stopping by.......HAPPY CREATING!

Going Grey with Scrap-Creations Challenge: Back to School!

Happy Tuesday!!! I do Love Tuesdays.....Do you know why? Tuesdays= Going Grey with Scrap-Creations challenge!

So, summer is or has come to the end for most of us, and school is starting or has started for most of us, so I figured what a great week to make the challenge a "Going back to School" one.

How cute is this image on my card????? I have to say that I have fallen for these Tiddly Inks images. They are all just Sooo cute. My card today was inspired by this card designed by Lysa Rohrer. When I was making this card, I thought it would be a great card to give to your daughter in her lunch bag on the first day of school, and that is exactly what I will be doing with this card, which is why I made it so simple!

Before I share with you the DT's amazing cards, I would like to show you last weeks TOP 3, and pick the winners for the Kenny K images!

Critter Sketch Challenge

Happy Monday. Boy, I haven't blogged in almost a week. My family and I went on vacation. We did a 3 day stint in DC, and then 7 days at Ocean City Maryland. We had the best time. It was our first time in DC and I loved it. So much to see and do. Next time I go back, i will definitely do more than 3 days, and OC is always a favorite with us. We love the beach and all that comes with it, so all in all it was a fabulous time!

So, I am back and I got my fingers inky yesterday (boy that felt good), I made my card for today's Critter Sketch Challenge. This weeks challenge is to make any card with the provided sketch by the amazing Lisa Somerville, and guess what?????? This challenge is being sponsored by LIMELIGHT PAPERCRAFTS. For those that are not familiar with Limelight, the are a MUST to checkout. The carry array of products at great prices. One of my favorites!

For my card today, I wanted to combine not onl the Critter sketch challenge, but this weeks Tiddley Inks challenge. Tiddley Inks challenge was a "princess" theme challenge, so as you can see, my card qualifies for both. I new when I saw this image that I wanted to pop up her dress to give her a fluffy look. I am not sure you can notice this by the pic. I also though my Olivia Basic Grey paper (which can be purchased at Limelight), was a great mix with this image.....What do you think?

So, wanna play with us over at Critter Sketch Challenge??? Need a little inspiration? Check out the cards by the DT. THe are pretty amazing!
